I went to the store tonight to buy batteries for the baby swing (an absolute must have, like a binki) and I could not get past these Jelly filled donuts. I walked past them a couple of times and tried to put them out of my mind, but they were screaming at me and I could not ignore them. I have not had one of these for a long time and was just so excited the whole drive home from the store to tear into them. Boy was I dissapointed. They totally do not put on nearly as much jelly as they used to, Yet I still had two of them. Oh well, hopefully the double stuffed oreos won't let me down. I will wait until tomorrow to give my defensless stomach a rest and then I will go on a jog tomorrow night and burn off maybe only like 1/4 th of those pathetic donuts that claim to be "jelly filled"

Natelli - I love your blog. It is so fun to sit up at night and read, while trying not to laugh too hard and wake my sleeping husband. Have you ever really tried to hold laughter in? It makes tears come. So actually I sit up at night and cry while reading your blog. Thanks!
I totally just did a long comment and it all erased, I don't know what is more frustrating, losing the post, of the pictures of your donuts. I can't wait till baby is here and I will not be diabetic anymore and not on insulin. I think I will make a list of all the rtreats I have really missed, and hope that I can have some after baby is born! You are the queen of Food porn you know that woman?
That is the absolute worst...eating something that is not worth the calorie intake. I had to do a run the other day for some sick chocolate cake my roommate made.
Natelli I am doing a bread class in Highland on Tuesday. Teri has been wanting to come to one. You two should come together. Call me if you want to come and I can give you the address.
That sucks! I hate when you are so excited about something and it is pure disappointment. But the oreo's will for sure help.
mmmm.. I love those hostess raspberry filled donuts. I'm sad if they don't put much filling in them. Hey to make up for it we should go to Mindy's class and learn to make lots of good for us stuff. Really though, I want to go. Do you?
Now I'm craving the delicious powdery treats! My dad used to warm them up for like 10 seconds before eating...divine! I've been so busy lately...I miss ya! I'm going out of town mon-thurs., but we'll have to get together soon. Love ya!
I've had so many of the same disapointing experiences. Do things really taste that much different than when we were younger or do we just expect more now that we're older?
That's why you just stick to Crispy Cream. Or cupcakes! I am so sorry you got "gipped" that really sucks!
I think that every time I buy something that looks good, never matches up to my hope. That is why I always am making treats, so I don't get fooled.
isn't that the truth? It seems to only happen when you really really want something and then when you get it-it kind of sucks. But, I am with you, I still would have ate 2ok seriously more like 3. The double stuffed-wont let you down-although I have found that the mint double stuffed cookies are a little softer-for me=more enjoyable to eat. Ok-sorry for the rant-my excuse, i should be in bed!
LOVE those things. Every year we eat them while we wait in line for our Christmas Tree permit. The jelly is getting skimpy I have to agree.
eleveno, twelvo, thriteeno . . . really? :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Your welcome anytime the more the merrier right?
I totally agree with the whole jelly filling thing.
It seems like a lot of products are doing that to us these days. You get less but have to pay more.
Makes no sense to me!
I haven't tried one of these is a while...but I think I may tomorrow. I might even have to make a special trip to the store because they look so dang good on your post!
