I'm bringin sexy back and breakin all the rules
Before I tell you how I am bringing sexy back, let me direct you to the source, the source that my inspiration came from to bring sexy back. Over to your left and down a ways, I have links to other blogs. To fully understand this post I have some suggested reading. click on Tammy's link. Getting back to the subject of how Tammy and I are bringing sexy back. Tammy wrote about how she was riding home on a plane the other day and the woman seated next to her was caked in self tanner and the odor was unbearable and clogged up her sinuses and gave her a terrible head ache. What I want to know is, who decided it was better to be tan? The sun gives us nothing but wrinkles, cancer, and sunburns.... and Vitamin D or is it C? no maybe it helps us absorb the vitamin D....anyways so now that we have all figured that out(the sun is bad for us) some genius came up with this magical lotion that makes you look tan...although it makes me look a weird pumpkin color. So Tammy said we need to take a stand against this. We need to fight back against the industry and while we are making a stand that it is beautiful to be pasty white, let's make a stand that it is even more beautiful to be chubby too. Didn't that used to be in style a couple hundred years ago? like in China or something. I mean who makes all these rules. Who decides what is pretty and what is ugly? If a nose is perfect or just a tad too long. Where is this magical book of rules? I swore I would take a stand against those really pointy shoes, but I caved. I always seem to be way to slow, as soon as I buy something, I turn around and it is out of style. So Tammy and I are bringing sexy back. We say it is cool to be pasty white with freckles and being chubby just adds to your sex appeal ( sorry Tammy and all the rest of you skinny girls) I am gonna say short hair is sexy too, but a shaved head would be best. and to top off this sexiness, I am gonna say hiked up sweat pants with your shirt tucked in and a belt and maybe a scarf draped around your neck. I am bringing sexy back and here's what I think it looks like.

I gave up on the suntan thing a while ago after both my dad and my sister found skin cancer on their face and backs. As for chubby, did you know that for native americans (I think) it used to be a sign of status. If their squaw was chubby, that meant that she was well fed and therefore her man was able to take care of her. I tell my husband he is very lucky to have such a well fed wife. I am with you all the way!!
Bravo! I agree, although I am going to the tanning bed tonight with my husband. Not because I ever get tan, believe me, I've tried it's not physically possible for me. My ancestors are from Norway so apparently they didn't have a lot of sunlight there. Anyway, my husband says it makes him feel good until it gets hot outside he is just onery. Still, I totally have the chubby thing down, so hurray for me!
Natelli,
What I need to know is who the heck took the picture at the crack of dawn? Who knew that I have been secretly trying to bring sexy back with my look for a long time, glad to see others finally joining me ha ha ha. You make me laugh...
Jonie
Love you! Love your pictures! Love your humor! You know I am on board!
Love it! The whole post made me laugh! Even though I am a self-proclaimed Sunless Tanner user, never claimed to be anything else. Love it!
I seriously almost peed my pants (that's what you get for laughing hysterically only 4 weeks after giving birth to your 3rd kid). You and I must be kindred spirits...I have so many pictures of me in strange outfits in the middle of the night as I try to bring sexy back. Go figure. :)
dere natlli you looked wird in those clothes. and looked fuuny in them.and looked silly.and you make me laugh.
LOVE GRACIE
I love it! I'm totally bringing sexy back if I follow your rules. Pasty white, chubby everywhere, and no in-style clothes. You've totally made my whole month!
Natelli you make me laugh. The more I read the harder I laugh. I am so with you on this. Last summer Addi would humor me and tell me to "check out her white sexy legs" because she heard me say it so much. Gotta love those kids :)
I am so in with you! As you probably well noticed, I am not a tanner. Never have been. I come from a family that certainly does though...and Colin too. Sorry to taddle tell! Anyway, you got it going on Natelli so I say flaunt it. Everyone talks about Marilyn Monroe and she was a size 10. I am tired of the waif look, fake boobs, tanning, botox, the whole works. Be true, be you!
I totally agree.......the world would be so boring if there were just tan, skinny, beautiful girls all over the place :)...............although you are one of the beautiful ones!! :)
You are hilarious!! I wished we lived closer so we could hang out in the snow all summer.
